Report damns government’s interpretation of DLA consultation as ‘highly misleading’

A report published last week accused the government of concealing the depth of opposition to its intended reform of Disability Living Allowance.

The government had claimed that disabled people were in agreement with its plans. Yet analysis in Responsible Reform – also known as the Spartacus Report – found that 74% of respondents were against the proposals, 19% had mixed views (agreeing with parts of the proposal) and only 7% supported them fully.
